Ratul Islam Antor is a Lecturer in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), Bangladesh, and is currently pursuing his M.Sc. in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). His current research focuses on developing magnesium alloys suitable for temporary biodegradable implant applications, with emphasis on mechanical performance, corrosion behaviour, and biocompatibility. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted research on sustainable polymer composites. His broader academic interests include physical metallurgy, heat treatment, surface engineering, corrosion, coatings, casting, biomaterials, energy materials, thin films, and nanocomposites. Passionate about teaching, Ratul believes that even complex engineering concepts can be made easier to understand through clear explanations, practical examples, and an engaging learning environment. He particularly enjoys helping students develop an intuitive understanding of difficult topics rather than simply memorizing them. As a curious and lifelong learner, he is always eager to explore new ideas, learn new techniques, and share his knowledge with students.
