Postgraduate Research Supervision and Engineering Consultancy I worked as a supervisor for 04 M.Sc. students and currently supervising more 03 M.Sc. students of Mechanical Engineering Department, Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology. I was also examiner for 08 M.Sc. thesis of Mechanical Engineering Department, RUET.

I have also supervised the project & thesis works of more than 100 undergraduate final year students of Mechanical Engineering in the Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology.

I have been providing consultancy support for production of alternative liquid fuels from organic solid wastes in Bangladesh.
Research Project Handling Currently, I am handling a research project of the “Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) equivalent to USD 2,50,000.00 in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, RUET funded by the World Bank and Government of Bangladesh.

I was also able to win the “Grant-In-Aid” equivalent to about USD 40,000.00 awarded by the “Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS)” of the Japanese Government. The project ID: P09094 and Title: development of a pyrolysis system for production of alternative liquid fuel from organic solid waste available in modern society.

I worked as a visiting researcher in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Hiroyuki HANIU, National University Corporation Kitami Institute of Technology, Japan under that project during July 2009 – June 2011.

Research Publications A total of 26 papers have been published in different journals and 22 papers are published in international conference proceedings. The major contribution of my research is the production of energy (in the form of solid, liquid and gaseous fuels) from organic solid wastes by thermal treatment (pyrolysis technology) and utilization them as alternative to conventional fuels, reaction kinetics studies of organic wastes, management of solid waste materials, development of fluid dynamic systems for energy conversion and other renewable energy engineering.

Teaching Experiences I have started my teaching career in March 1994 just after the completion of my Bachelor degree in October 1993 at the Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh. I got this opportunity due to the outstanding result at my Undergraduate level. I have been teaching the core courses of Mechanical Engineering including Fluid Mechanics, Fluid Machinery, Thermodynamics, Engineering Mechanics, Mechanics of Solids, Refrigeration & Air conditioning, Power Plant Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Waste Management, Engineering Drawing, etc. in both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels since the beginning (1994) of my teaching profession.

Areas of teaching excellence include Fluid Mechanics, Fluid Machinery, Thermodynamics, Energy Engineering, Power Plant Engineering, Mechanics of Solids, and Engineering Mechanics.
